The third Postgraduate Course in Wholesale Food Business Management, organised by the Wholesale Concessionaires Association of Mercabarna (ASSOCOME) and the Triptolemos Foundation, is due to begin on 18 October.
Taught on Mercabarna premises, the course is aimed at diploma- and degree-holders who wish to specialise in the agro-food business and at sector professionals interested in updating or expanding their managerial knowledge and skills.
It aims to equip students with the basic tools for managing a wholesale food company. In the course’s 200 classroom hours, teachers and sector company heads will address issues including food consumption trends, international trade, corporate economics, law and human resource management.
Students who complete the course satisfactorily will have a very good chance of finding work in Mercabarna, since there is a shortage of management professionals specialising in the fresh produce sector.
