The Complementary Activities Zone (ZAC)

There are some 30 companies in the fish and seafood sector in the Mercabarna Auxiliary Activities Zone (ZAC) involved in activities that complement those of the Central Market.

The ZAC brings together:

Companies specialised in the manipulation, preparation, packaging and distribution of all kinds of fresh and frozen fish and seafood; fish- and seafood-farmers, preparers and exporters etc.
The purchasing centres of large food distribution chains that source fresh produce from Mercabarna.
Companies specialised in supplying the restaurant industry.
