Cold stores

Mercabarna has the largest concentration of cold stores in Spain, both conventional and frozen (600,000 square metres).

Apart from the cold stores belonging to the various wholesale companies, there are seven more where storage space may be rented and which annually store more than 100,000 tonnes of fresh and frozen food.

These large cold-store companies offer their services both to companies located at Mercabarna and companies that buy in the Food Unit.
